In this recorded session we explore the importance of securing children’s understanding of the basic concept of a sentence as well as tried and tested strategies for teaching punctuation in Reception and KS1.
This training will explore:
- Essential sentence construction subject knowledge for KS1 teachers and Teaching Assistants.
- Active strategies and whole school approaches for developing secure understanding of sentence construction in YR and KS1.
- Techniques for teaching the range of punctuation required for working at the expected standard and at greater depth by the end of KS1.
