This training is aimed at Y1, Y2 , Y3, Y4, Y5 and Y6 teachers and TAs

We know from recent research that teaching grammar to pupils ‘playfully’ improves their writing capabilities substantially. (University of Exeter) This mirrors decades of research which state that the most efficient way to create a new synapse in the brain (true learning) is through playful engagement. This training is based on what we know about how children learn best and will support schools to ensure pupils engage enthusiastically in grammar learning and help develop a real love of language!

This session will:

• Explore a wealth of grammar games to use immediately back in the classroom.
• Reflect on practical tips for effective grammar teaching.
