This day is aimed at Headteachers and Leadership teams
The Ofsted Education Inspection Framework now includes a “deep dive” in reading and this will form part of every inspection for infant and primary schools. This renewed Ofsted focus means that schools’ provision for reading will be scrutinised like never before. Book your place on this inspirational day to ensure your school is ‘Ofsted Reading Ready’!
This training day will:
- Examine the 7 aspects of early reading that Inspectors will focus upon in the Ofsted reading deep dive.
- Explore school self-evaluation strategies to ensure school leaders can accurately evaluate how the reading curriculum flows from intention to implementation to impact across the school.
- Consider what outstanding provision for reading looks like in practice.
- Unpick the latest research evidence for reading, including EEF’s The Reading House and consider how to ensure that the ultimate goal of reading comprehension and reading for pleasure is embedded in your school’s vision and classroom practice.
