About us: the Dandelion Learning ethos
Pet Henshaw and Tre Christopher are Dandelion Learning. We deliver high quality Literacy training and support for schools across the UK. Our goal is to support schools to make a real difference to the lives of their children. We are passionate about teaching and learning and are committed to helping schools to realise each and every pupil’s full potential. Our training is engaging, interactive and highly regarded. We are particularly proud of the fact that our Phonics training achieved DfE approval.
Having worked as Primary school teachers, Subject Leaders and Consultants, we recognise the commitment and relentless hard work that it takes to provide outstanding education on a day to day basis in the classroom. We aim to support schools’ efforts by providing training which is inspiring, practical and based on sound up-to-date research. Our training is always active and practical ensuring that teachers have the opportunity to have a go at tried and tested techniques themselves so that they are confident and enthused to use these immediately back in the classroom. All the strategies we promote are evidence based and our aim is to share not only how to use these strategies in the classroom but also why these techniques work.
Although based in Cornwall we travel across the country and internationally to support schools. We have trained thousands of teachers and together we have a combined experience in Primary Education of more than thirty years. We provide a range of courses, bespoke whole school training (INSET, staff meetings and twilights) as well as support for clusters of schools who wish to work together. We also provide in-school support for teachers and school leaders.
